The Government has today released the draft regulations and explanatory statement for the proposed external conduct standards for registered charities.

In July 2018, the ACNC registered 204 new charities. The majority of newly registered charities are based in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

On 1 August 2018, the ACNC made a submission to the Senate Select Committee on Charity Fundraising in the 21st Century, in relation to the impact of current fundraising regulations on charities across Australia.

The ACNC has published information aimed at helping representatives of organisations participating in the National Redress Scheme to register as charities.
