The ACNC has published information aimed at helping representatives of organisations participating in the National Redress Scheme to register as charities.
The National Redress Scheme was established after recommendations from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, and aims to provide support to people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse.
The Scheme started on 1 July 2018 and will continue for 10 years.
The ACNC’s information covers how those who are representing institutions participating in the scheme can apply to have the ACNC register that organisation as a charity. It also provides information on charitable purpose and entity type.
The guide can be found here: www.acnc.gov.au/redressscheme.
