The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) is encouraging Australians to donate to registered charities in the wake of Cyclone Debbie.
Data from more than 46,000 registered charities’ 2015 Annual Information Statements, including financial data, was uploaded today to data.gov.au as part of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission’s (ACNC) commitment to open data.
“Charity pocketed $1.8m in donations” (10 June 2017) stated that the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission failed to act on a concern about the AFG Charities Trust in 2012.
This guidance summarises the rules and legislation regarding fundraising in South Australia, as well as the regulators responsible for overseeing fundraising in South Australia.
The Commission has today issued a public notice advising charities they have until 7 October 2024 to submit overdue Annual Information Statements, or their registration may be revoked.
