In this month's Commissioner's Column, Sue Woodward AM reminds charities about the importance of timely reporting in enhancing public trust and confidence in the charity sector.

ACNC Commissioner Sue Woodward AM has announced Cate Bennett as Assistant Commissioner – Operations and Engagement, commencing in February 2025.

In March 2023, the ACNC confirmed it was investigating the Hillsong Church. The ACNC has now published details of an enforceable undertaking from Hillsong College Limited.

The Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) is inviting feedback on proposed changes to the Not-for-Profit Financial Reporting Framework.

These proposals are relevant for anyone involved with preparing, reviewing or approving financial statements for NFP entities. It is also relevant for donors, funders/grant providers, and other stakeholders who are interested in the financial statements of NFP entities.

Consultation closes 28 February 2025.
