ACNC Commissioner Sue Woodward AM has announced Cate Bennett as Assistant Commissioner – Operations and Engagement, commencing in February 2025.
“I am delighted to welcome Cate to our leadership team. With her considerable experience across the public and not-for-profit sectors, and expertise in legal, commercial and corporate enablement roles – she will be a tremendous asset to the team,” Ms Woodward said.
Ms Bennett is one of two Assistant Commissioners with a portfolio covering our advice service team, strategic communications and stakeholder engagement, people and culture, finance, governance and digital services.
Cate will come to the ACNC after roles in the Victorian public sector and having made a significant impact in the not-for-profit sector – at Beyond Blue, the Leukemia Foundation and most recently as Global General Counsel and Company Secretary at Movember. Cate is a qualified lawyer, with degrees in law and business. She is an alumni of the Stanford Graduate School of Business and has been recognised twice as the Not-for-Profit Lawyer of the Year by the Association of Corporate Counsel Australia.
