Volunteers help charities in many ways - from preparing food, to visiting elderly people, to being a board member.
If you are interested in volunteering for a charity, you can search the ACNC Charity Register to find the contact details of a charity that you want to help. The Charity Register allows people to search for specific charity programs, as well as charities. You can also use a volunteer matching website to find a charity that is looking for volunteers.
Volunteering Australia is the national peak body for volunteering, working to advance volunteering in the community.
