An annual report is a publication that often details a range of important information about a charity and its work over a 12-month period.

It commonly includes an overview of the charity’s activities and achievements for the previous 12 months, and reports from key staff and Responsible People about the charity’s finances and governance. A charity can choose to upload its annual report in the Charity Portal and it will be publicly available on the Charity Register.

An annual report is not the same as the Annual Information Statement (AIS).
