This is the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission's (ACNC) Annual Report to parliament for 2012–13. The ACNC was established on 3 December 2012 and this report covers our first seven months of operation. Within the report you will find detailed information on our performance through the financial year and our achievements against the objects of the ACNC Act, specifically to:
- maintain, protect and enhance public trust and confidence in the Australian not-for-profit sector
- support and sustain a robust, vibrant, independent and innovative Australian not-for-profit sector
- promote the reduction of unnecessary regulatory obligations on the Australian not-for-profit sector.
This Annual Report describes the projects and tasks conducted towards the realisation of our goals and highlights our achievements so far.
