Sue Woodward AM has been appointed as Commissioner of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) for a five-year period commencing on 12 December, 2022. Assistant Minister for Competition, Charities and Treasury the Hon Dr Andrew Leigh MP announced the appointment.
New reforms will further reduce the red tape burden for charities in Western Australia. Under the reforms, duplicated reporting requirements for incorporated associations in Western Australia will be removed. Associations will only need to report to the ACNC using the Annual Information Statement. They will not need to submit a separate annual statement to Consumer Protection.
