The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) is travelling the country over the next few months to meet with a variety of faith-based organisations around Australia.
ACNC Commissioner Susan Pascoe AM and Assistant Commissioner Murray Baird will be visiting capital cities between June and August to bring together leaders representing the breadth of faith-based charities, to discuss the issues concerning their members and their organisation.
The following dates have been confirmed:
Melbourne | Thursday 22 June |
Canberra | Thursday 29 June |
Hobart | Wednesday 5 July |
Sydney | Thursday 13 July |
Brisbane | Wednesday 19 July |
Adelaide | Tuesday 25 July |
Perth | Tuesday 1 August |
The roundtable meeting will provide a brief overview of the current activities and recent work of the ACNC, and discuss findings from the Australian Charities Report 2015 which are significant for religious organisations. The event is also designed to facilitate discussion about reporting issues, red tape reduction efforts for charities, and the challenges and opportunities currently facing the sector.
If you are a leader of a faith-based organisation and are interested in learning more about one of our events, please register your interest at events@acnc.gov.au and we will be happy to provide further information.
