This tool is for your personal use only. The ACNC will not use it to assess your organisation's eligibility for charity registration, nor will we use it in any compliance review we may conduct.
Please do not submit a copy of your completed self-assessment to us.
Using the tool
You can use the self-assessment tool in two ways:
- complete the self-assessment in one sitting
- save your progress at the end of a particular section and resume your self-assessment later.
If you choose the ‘save draft and email me my progress’ option, you will be asked to provide an email address. You will then receive a link via that email address to access your partially completed form so you can continue your self-assessment at a later time.
That link will be valid for 30 days from the last time you accessed the form. While it is valid, the partially saved data and the registered email address will be stored on ACNC systems. However, we will not have access to any information entered into the tool.
Once you complete your work in the self-assessment tool within the 30-day window, the saved data will be deleted immediately. If you do not access the form within 30 days, the email link will expire, and the partially completed form and your registered email address will be deleted from our system.
